If I were to start over from scratch, here are the things I would do differently. I'm not an expert; I'm just like you, continuously learning, improving, and adjusting my approach. However, as the saying goes, "स्वाध्याय प्रवचनाभ्याम् न प्रमदितव्यम्" which means, "Never neglect learning and teaching."

So, I'm fulfilling my duty by learning and sharing those learnings with you. My goal is to promote unconventional career paths where individuals can lead fulfilling lives by pursuing their passions.

Let's begin with today's topic, but first, here's a brief summary of my journey so far.

June 2021 - Engaged in my full-time role as an HR associate while actively seeking better opportunities. During this period, I enrolled in a content writing class, which proved to be transformative.

August 2021 - Completed a two-month internship at a startup, established a solid portfolio, and commenced the hunt for new prospects.

September 2021 - Joined my brother's startup as a freelance content writer, where I honed my writing skills .

October 2021 to April 2022 - Discovered my passion for technical writing, coinciding with the rise of the metaverse. Leveraging my brother's startup, which operated within this sector I specialized in emerging technologies and commenced sharing insights on LinkedIn.

May 2022 to January 2023 - Explored further by joining another startup to deepen my understanding of emerging tech. Throughout this period, I consistently shared content on LinkedIn, gradually establishing my presence.

February 2023 - Transitioned into the role of a solopreneur, securing projects as an expert in my field. Selection for LinkedIn's India Campus Knowledge Program marked a turning point in my journey.

March 2023 - Realized the importance of honing my writing skills over industry-specific knowledge. Embracing this insight, I repositioned myself as a technical content writer, focusing on diverse technical topics rather than niche industries.

April 2023 - Expanded my offerings to include content marketing services, catering to a broader clientele.

May to November 2023 - Diversified my income streams by providing personal branding mentorship and accepting high-paying gigs.

December 2023 to March 2024 - Launched content writing cohorts and offered personalized coaching services. Achieving recognition as LinkedIn's Top Voice 2024 and stand out creator as a top 1% creator on Topmate marked significant milestones in my career.

2.Let your services reflect your expertise:Demonstrate your skills through your work.

For instance, if you excel in self-improvement and freelancing, focus on those areas. It's what comes naturally to you.

Ensure your content aligns with your freelancing goals. If you aim to freelance in tech, writing about travel won't be as effective.

This realization dawned on me later in my journey.

3.Seek out freelance opportunities: Instead of spending time on additional internships, focus on applying for freelance gigs on platforms like Upwork.

4.Mindset matters: I prioritized it before, and I continue to do so.

Earning money and seizing opportunities largely depends on your mindset. I dedicate time to enhance my mindset regularly by reading and listening to podcasts and currently, I'm reading "Unlimited Power" by Anthony Robbins.

5.Stay composed: In this journey, avoid the urge for instant victories; they rarely materialize.

6.Be like a swimmer: Stay in your lane; don't get distracted by others.

Avoid comparisons; they can either lead to impostor syndrome or feelings of inferiority. Learn from everyone, but only implement what works for you.

Remember, this journey is yours alone. It's your game to play.

7.The Ultimate Goal:Embrace opportunities and venture into uncharted territory.

Initially aiming for freelance work, I never envisioned becoming a full-time solopreneur and will be a coach.

This achievement is a result of constant learning, experimentation, and taking action.
